/ Head Coach

Scott Bayvel

South African endurance athlete based in Cheshire, UK. Currently competing as a HYROX Pro at World Championships level after a career as a professional triathlete and SA Long-Course Champion.

The coaching philosophy is built from the inside out. Every protocol used with athletes has been tested in racing first. Nothing is theoretical, nothing is borrowed without understanding why it works.

The camps exist because there's a difference between training and being trained. A week at Playitas under structured load, in the right environment, with the right people around you, moves an athlete forward in a way no online block can replicate.

/ Bike & Run Lead

Sheldon

The kind of range you don't believe until you train next to it. An athlete who has won in the desert, raced on the biggest stage in triathlon, represented a country at international cricket, and built a body capable of standing on a national bodybuilding stage. Different sports, different physiologies, same person.

What ties it together is a temperament most athletes spend a career trying to develop. Driven without being noisy. Strong-minded without being inflexible. The kind of competitor who turns up, does the work, makes it look ordinary, and then quietly delivers a result that isn't.

On camp, Sheldon leads the group rides and selected run sessions. A second voice on the road with the experience to call the right efforts at the right moments, and the credentials to back every call he makes.
